Brother Timothy J. Ward was born in 1969 at Iowa City, Iowa. He received an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science from College of DuPage and a few years later completed his Bachelor’s degree in Technical Management at DeVry University. On November 4, 1995 he married Shelly Thorne.
He was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on January 19, 2002 in Blackberry Lodge No. 359, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons of Illinois, at Elburn where he presided as Worshipful Master from 2009-2012.
Companion Ward was advanced to the degree of Mark Master on May 7, 2011 and exalted to the supreme degree of Holy Royal Arch Mason that same date in Fox River Chapter No. 14 at Geneva where he served as Excellent High Priest in 2014-2015. He was appointed Excellent Grand Webmaster for the Grand Chapter of Illinois on July 19, 2013 and continues to manage the site to this day. He was awarded the Lyle R. Melvin Distinguished Service Award in 2014.
Companion Ward was greeted as a Select Master on March 31, 2011 in James C. Lovig, Sr. Council No. 130, Cryptic Masons of Illinois at Geneva, where he served as Thrice Illustrious Master in 2013-2014. He joined the Grand Council in 2012 as the Grand Webmaster, served as District Inspector for several years, and in 2018 was Elected to serve as Illustrious Grand Marshal. He was honored with the Ish Sodi award in 2012.
Sir Knight Ward was dubbed and created a Knight of the Valiant and Magnanimous Order of the Temple on May 16, 2011 in Sycamore Commandery No. 15, Knights Templar of the State of Illinois, at Sycamore where he served as Eminent Commander in 2013-2014. He served the Grand Commandery as the Webmaster from 2012 to 2019.
Companion Ward was inducted/Knighted in the Knight of the York Cross of Honor in Illinois Priory #11 on July 19, 2015.
Brother Ward was created a 32° Scottish Rite Freemason and Sublime Prince of the Royal Secret in 2010 in the Valley of Chicago, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite where he served on the Sound committee for several years and received the Valley Award in 2014.
Noble Ward was made a Noble of the Mystic Shrine in Tebala Shriners, A.A.O.N.M.S. in 2002 and is secretary/treasurer of Batavia Shrine Club.
Prophet Ward was made a a Prophet of the Mystic Order of Veiled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm at Chi-Ill Grotto in Villa Park in 2022
