Grand Master’s Programs 2022-2023

Companions,

This Cryptic year, the Grand York Rite Bodies will have a common theme this year: “We are Stronger Together”. The triangle is one of the most prevalent symbols in Masonry due to its inherent strength, and our three bodies will endeavor to put that strength to work; starting with a joint reception and continuing throughout the year with joint degree festivals where we will offer not only the Chapter and Council degrees, but also the first two Orders of the Commandery.

It is my intent to also exemplify that triangle during my term by building on three fundamental pillars: membership, benevolence, and service.

For membership, I am issuing a challenge to all Cryptic Masons in Illinois to help Greet at least 125 new Companions during my year. Each new Companion will receive a limited-edition Grand Masters Class challenge coin, as will the top line signers. Recorders, it is important to include the top line signers when you enter new members in MMS as that is where my information comes from.

For benevolence, I am making our charity a personal priority. I will be working with our Nurse’s Scholarship Foundation and Cryptic Masons University Committee to re-energize our programs and increase visibility. We will be introducing several fund-raising opportunities throughout the year, including my personal challenge coin which I have available now. I am also challenging each Council to hold at least one fund-raising event this year for the Nurse’s Scholarship Fund and will personally buy dinner for the top Council.

For service, I am challenging our Elected and Appointed Grand Council officers to visit at least 4 Councils this year, other than their home Council. My goal is for every Council to have at least one Grand Officer (other than the DI) visit them this term.
